Why This Exists
The gap between what women experience and the support they receive is staggering.
Around half of women never speak to a professional — not because they don’t want to, but because they’ve already been dismissed, and 10min is not enough to have a real conversation.
of women recognise the word perimenopause. Only 17–23% actually understand their symptoms or options.
of women experience a rise in anxiety and depression during this transition and are routinely prescribed antidepressants when hormonal evaluation may be the actual key.
Perimenopause has 100+ symptoms, but most women only recognise a few and never think that what they go through may be hormone related.

A PERSONAL NOTE FROM DR KAMILA
Hi, I'm Dr Kamila —
and I know how lonely this can feel.
Dr Kamila Hortynska · Clinical Psychologist· 25 Years ExperienceI offer this call once a month because I’ve seen what happens when women don’t have access to clear, honest answers. I’ve sat with that feeling myself.
Perimenopause so often begins quietly. Sleep starts to shift. Anxiety arrives from nowhere. Joints ache. Mood changes in ways that are hard to explain. You just don't feel as attractive or confident as before! And yet when women finally go looking for help, they are so often told that nothing is wrong. They leave appointments feeling dismissed — or worse, embarrassed — wondering if what they’re experiencing is even real.
In twenty five years of working with women, I’ve seen the same pattern repeat itself: women piecing together answers alone, late at night, searching online, wondering if their bodies are changing in ways no one ever explained to them.
I understand this personally too. When I went through these changes myself, I realised how fragmented and confusing the information around perimenopause can be — even for someone with clinical training. Most women don’t have that background. And they shouldn’t have to navigate this alone.
This perimenopause on-call sessions is my way of creating the space I wish had existed for me. One hour where your questions are welcome, nothing is dismissed, and you can finally hear a clear, knowledgeable voice explaining what might be happening in your body.
It’s not a lecture. It’s not a programme. It’s simply a place where you can show up, ask what has been worrying you, and feel heard. I’ll be there whether two people join or twenty.

Frequently Asked Questions
Questions women ask most.
Not at all. It’s completely fine to join without knowing quite how to put into words what you’ve been experiencing. I’m used to starting from “something just feels off.” You can submit questions in advance when you register, or simply listen and ask in the moment. There is no wrong way to show up.
Not at all.
Many women join because they suspect something is changing but don’t yet have a clear answer. The purpose of the call is to help you get your questions answered related to perimenopause.
I answer as many questions as possible during the hour. Submitting your question when you register helps prioritise the topics most women are asking about. Attending live also means you will benefit from other women’s questions too.
No. This is a live experience. I give you 1 hour of my time and you give yours. This is for you. The best way to make sure you don’t miss anything is to register ahead of time to receive call reminders and mark the date on your calendar.
The call takes place every third Wednesday of the month. If you miss one session, you can simply join the next one.
Yes — completely free.
I offer this monthly session because many women struggle to access clear information about perimenopause. From a professional who can hold many perspectives at once: psychological, hormonal, physical, emotional, relational, nutritional and practical.
There is no cost and no obligation. Money shouldn’t be a barrier to understanding your own body. I will be there whether two people show up or twenty.

What a special lady. I attended her course just in time before lockdown. I’m not sure how I would have coped throughout the whole experience, if I had not started to make my own psychological parachute on that course. Very grateful indeed. Kamila oozes calm and peacefulness. Who is better to teach you to find yours. Highly recommend this wonderful person!
Rachel WilkinsonI attended Kamila’s first ‘Help Yourself to Happiness’ course in the summer. It was very freeing, and helped me re-balance in lots of ways. There were so many tools and resources to explore – very enriching! I would particularly recommend this to anyone who struggles to give themselves the gift of time and care. A spa for the soul!
Stephanie CribbKamila is a wonderful life coach. She helped me dive deep into myself to find the root cause of my problems, and provided me with tools that empowered me to make changes to get my life back. She has opened my eyes to understand some situations better. I am very grateful that our paths crossed and I would highly recommend her to everyone.
